City of Joburg’s executive mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda visits Diepkloof hostel

This morning, executive mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda, conducted a site visit at the Diepkloof hostel in Soweto.

He was joined by MMC of Public Safety; MMC of Environment Infrastructure and Services Department; MMC of Human Settlements; acting COO; Executive Director of Human Settlements and others.

Residents in the area voiced their concerns about the conditions of the hostel and where they need the City to assist with.

There were few issues with the hostel buildings deteriorating, illegal dumping in the area and there were sanitation queries raised.
