Recipe of the day: All-purpose braai marinade
This easy braai marinade pairs with anything, if not everything, and hits all the right notes – the perfect combination of sweet and spicy.
Ingredients
½ cup (125ml) vegetable oil
½ cup (125ml) sugar
¼ cup (60ml) vinegar
¼ cup (60ml) Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp (30ml) PnP crushed garlic
1 Tbsp (15ml) curry powder
1 Tbsp (15ml) ground cumin
1 tsp (5ml) paprika
Salt and milled pepper
Method
Combine oil, sugar, vinegar, sauce, garlic, curry powder, cumin and paprika in a bowl.
Whisk vigorously to combine.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pour about 1 cup over chicken, beef, pork or fish and allow to marinate for 1 hour.
Pour remaining marinade into a sealable jar or bottle and keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
