Kick-off to the 2023 Ekurhuleni Festive Season Launch

Today on the corner DM Marokane Drive and R562 Olifantsfontein Road, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department Municipal Commissioner, Chief IJ Mapiyeye together with the Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni kick-off the 2023 Ekurhuleni Festive Season Launch.

The purpose of the festive launch is for the Executive Mayor to wish motorists a safe and secure festive season. The launch consists of the following EMPD divisions: Social Crime Prevention, Operations and Specialised Services, who will be issuing road safety promotional items, conducting vehicle and driver inspections, and traffic fine administration, together with the Executive Mayor.

Other external stakeholders such as the South African Police Service, when available, will also participate in the event. Parade is underway at the Phumlani Mall.
