Manhunt launched after Thabong educator was murdered, vehicle abandoned in Virginia
The police in Thabong have launched a manhunt for the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of a 32-year-old male educator after a night out with friends.
His lifeless body was discovered by his girlfreind in the deceased house. She immediately sought help from neighbours and he police were alerted.
On arrival of Thabong SAPS members, the front burglar doors were forced open, the door was also broken. The house was ransacked. The deceased was found with injuries on the left arm and body, broken right wrist, stab wounds on chest, neck and on top of his head. A garden spade was found next to his body. His Volkswagen Polo, cellphone, Hisense HD television were missing.
Later during the day, the Volkswagen Polo was found abandoned in Virginia. He was identified as Sipho Mothekhe (32), an educator at Letsete Secondary school, Thabong.
A case of house robbery, murder and theft of motor vehicle was registered for further investigation.
