Female mine manager shot dead in Carolina

A female Mine Manager, aged 27 was fatally shot in Carolina on Thursday, 24 January and the Police are investigating this heinous crime.

According to a report, the victim was about to leave for work when she was shot. At this stage, circumstances surrounding this shooting incident are still a mystery to be unfolded through investigation.

The Police as well as the paramedics in Carolina were alerted about the shooting incidentUpon arrival at the scene, the police found a white Toyota bakkie iddling whilst the victim was seated motionless in the driver’s seat. The woman reportedly had bullet wounds on the upper body. She was unfortunately certified dead by the paramedics at the scene.

Police are investigating a murder case. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage and it is not yet clear whether there was any item stolen by the perpetrator(s) during the incident. No one has been arrested so far.

Police urge anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) to call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or send information via MYSAPSAPP.

All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous. The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has strongly condemned the incident. The General further ordered the Investigation team to work diligently without fear or favour and swiftly arrest the suspect(s) so that justice could be served for the victim’s family.
